Rainforest Action Initiative
Let's protect the Rainforest. Let's be mindful that there is a world out there, and we cannot let it go to waste. We've got work to do, and I know we can do it together.
There are five major rainforests Amazon, Congo, Australia , Sundaland, and Indo-Burma. Rainforests cover 2.5% of the Earth's surface. Tropical rainforests have 40–100 tree species per one hectare of land. Protecting these regions is important because they have a major impact to the environments. We all heard this story at school one day in Science. The question is what small changes can we take to support the efforts of protecting the Rainforest?
Rainforest Activists get together to strategize, and take action! One of our next adventures includes going to the Rainforest to educate ourselves, and volunteer! If you're interested in getting involved reach out to Cherelle. She'll get you started or click on the link below to join.
We meet once a month on Saturdays 2:00pm PST. Due to pandemic we meet virtually on zoom. We may continue this way because we have found that it is most effective to provide a more inclusive experience for seniors, disabled; individuals who live far distances, middle & working class folks who often have busy lifestyles, and careers.
