Supporting LGBTQ
As a candidate for District 6 it's important to ensure that policy is representative of all communities. For example, in the Bisexual community there is a wide array of specific policy that could be deemed very beneficial, but because there is very little representation in government it can feel like their voice can go unheard. I want to change that if you'll help me.
Supporting LGBTQ
Inside the LGBTQ community is a world that some may not be as familiar with. My intention is to ensure that education, resources for vulnerable and marginalized, resources for unhoused, and protections are extended to those within these communities. It can be tough to navigate this topic as many will have their own opinions. The beauty is to ensure that safe spaces remain, and that resources, programs continue to flow exponentially throughout the community. I recognize that members of the LGBTQ community want to ensure their voice is amplified on the issues that matter most, I want that as well. The LGBTQ community has been a wonderful ally to social justice issues, civil rights issues, and have always been right there to support communities in need. As a candidate I want to ensure I extend that same respect, open door to hear all of the needs of the community with a sensitive ear, and an open mind.
